Vulcan View and Weekend Notes

Here’s a recent photo from Spark Imaging, showing a beautiful
view of Birmingham from the Vulcan.
It’s always nice to be loved.
We need a sign like this for Fairhope!

Here are a few weekend notes:

*While you are swinging on the front porch, enjoying this cool Spring weather, you may want to read this nice article in Country Roads Magazine, by Fairhope resident, Fran Morley. Fran tells us, “What’s New In Fairhope?”

*And speaking of what’s new – I’m so excited that a Popeye’s Fried Chicken is being built in Daphne!  Now I won’t have to drive to Mobile to get my spicy fix of fried goodness! Big news for a small town!

*More big news, is Fairhope is going to have a Flower Clock!  Click here to read the article at Fairhope Times.

*The world’s largest pot of gumbo will be stirred by some famous chefs in Orange Beach this weekend.    A one-ton cast iron pot is being transported in by semi-truck to hold the 10,000 servings of the shrimp – filled local favorite. Click here to read more about the L.A. Gumbo Festival (L.A. = “Lower Alabama”).

*And as always, thanks for reading Fairhope Supply Co., leaving witty and thoughtful comments and sending your friends over. Y’all rock!

Happy Weekend to everyone in Fairhope and beyond!

  • A flower clock? Oh my!! Thanks for coming by today:) Thinking about making a trip over to the Strawberry Fest…have you ever been to it?

    Blessings,
    Linda

  • The image of Birmingham is splendid. Spark rocks too. Happy Friday, Olive

  • Nice pic of Birmingham. That’s Vulcan’s front view. Homewood gets his rear. Birmingham’s great but I can’t wait to move down to the coast! We keep having to put it off. Now you’re making me jealous that I’m missing all the festivities down there! 🙂

There always seems to be multiple reasons to make me
wish I was in Fairhope! Beautiful Birmingham picture too.
    Thanks,
    A. Pat
