While visiting Rachel and Douglas at The Trammell House, I saw a glow
coming from a darkened room.
On one of the seven (7!!!) fireplaces in the old house, was a charming mantle full of little deer.
Snuggled amongst snow, wintery trees and sparkling lights, the collection once belonged to Douglas’ Grandfather.
The deer are heavy because they are made of lead.
But in this winter scene, they look ready to frolic in the cold night.

Magical! What a precious way to display a family heirloom.
Très belles photos, joli post, très bon week-end – Cath.
Oh goodness, these are so lovely!
