Waa! Waa! I can’t stand the crying anymore.
Yesterday,  I presented a rational explanation as to why Southern patriotism is stronger and more intense than the rest of the country, and all you folks from “other places” can’t stop crying. So here you go. . . I’ll give in and show you one of my favorite patriotic decorations that is actually from . . .
 sit down for it  . . .
Isn’t this the most fabulous holiday flag bookcase you’ve ever seen?
(Probably designed by an intern from the University of Alabama, no doubt)

I guess they have a few patriotic items north of the Mason Dixon Line.

Southern style patriotism.
  • You are a hoot! I love the bookcase and need to read about the crying! We really need to meet in the middle sometime and have a blogging discussion or any other!
    Your friend from Biloxi!

  • Love this flag…and am super-curious to read this post you speak of; being Texan and proud,I know what it’s like hear a bunch of crying from those who are not…and don’t ‘get it’.

…off to read your post! Pat

  • Your humor is spot on and yes, that bookshelf is fabulous! Cheers to the red, white and blue, north and the south.
