A very normal small town sort of thing happened when I went to the “box office” (The Fairhope Welcome Center) to pick up my passes for the Fairhope Film Festival (FFF) which takes place this weekend!

Planning on dashing in and getting my tickets before I headed over to the Farmer’s Market behind the library, I ran into someone I really like, so we got to visit and catch up for a while. Then, a nice man who was visiting Fairhope on business came over and asked about “some movies being shown – what’s going on?” so we got into a big conversation with him about the Fairhope Film Festival, restaurants, shopping, etc . . .
The volunteers loaded him down with schedules and details of all the films available. Tickets are getting scarce, so it’s a good thing we bombarded informed him when we did! Â So, my quick dash into the box office took about 20 minutes, but that happens all the time around here. It’s always so fun to spend time with nice people, it never matters to us if we linger a while longer than planned.

Perhaps “FFF” could also stand for Friendliest Film Festival!
Everyone in town is just abuzz with excitement over the FFF, the good weather (finally cool – downright cold to us!) and downtown specials offered in the nifty coupon book that comes with your passes.
Lagniappe to Fairhope Film Festival‘s Gulf Coast hospitality is a gathering at Mart located at 314 Magnolia Ave this afternoon (11-13-15) to meet the jurors. Rowland Scherman, Prudence Farrow Bruns, Albert Bruns, Charlsey Adkins and John Desplas will all be on hand to discuss  what they look for and value in good films. Everyone’s invited to attend, so we hope to see you there!

What will you be doing this weekend? Any movies in your future? Hope they are located here at the FFF!

I look forward to hearing about the movies you saw at the festival Leslie Anne. We just enjoyed a quiet weekend at home. We have been traveling so much that we needed a rest. Next weekend we will have our Grimm family Thanksgiving on Saturday at my daughter’s home so I will have another busy weekend. But thankful to have the health to be busy and the love of family who enjoy being together for special celebrations.
Sounds like a perfect weekend. A little downtime after traveling is always nice. Happy resting to you!
Wish I were there, I know you’ll have a wonderful time. Hope you’ll share a little of it here……………
I just returned from my first movie – or should I say my first ATTEMPT at a movie. It was FULL with no room available! They are adding a showing this Sunday afternoon, but I really wanted to see it tonight (Friday). I’m not used to crowds around here! But it kind of makes it exciting.
I’ll try again Sunday. Wish you could be here too!
Oh it sounds like great fun, what perfect weather too~enjoy!
It’s so nice and cool. Almost downright chilly!!
Oh, you are breaking my heart. This will be the first one I have missed. How could I turn down a trip to DisneyWorld with the grandkids? Have fun and we’ll be watching for those movie reviews.
This is an awesome time to go to Walt Disney World. I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful time! I’ll let you know what you miss!
