For you long-time readers with sharp eyes and incredible memories, you may remember seeing this house on my blog before. I loved it then, and I love it now. Guess what? . . . It’s for sale!
My artist friend, who has put her heart and soul into updating and decorating this residence is ready to tackle a new project, so the, “For Sale” sign has been planted in the yard!
With four bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths, its a great size for a family, but the floor plan is what makes it special. It isn’t your run-of-the-mill house where you can close your eyes and predict where every room will be.
Full of built-ins and creative nooks, the house feels cozy even though it’s just under 4,000 square feet. This is one of the most beautiful AND functional kitchens I’ve ever seen. The island top is made from one solid piece of wood. GORGEOUS!
Located in a private, gated community in Point Clear, the house feels like a miniature resort. That resort feeling could also be a result of having a backyard view, like this . . .
I know I’m talking about the house itself, but I’m totally smitten with my friend’s decorating style! She’s an artist and most of the paintings you see throughout the house are her works. She’s so knowledgable about rugs and helped me select a few for my own house.
I had an architect tell me once that each room of your house should be interesting before you ever add the furniture. This house definitely meets that criteria.
This is the upstairs den where teens can hang out and relax.
Here’s the back view of the house, complete with charming porch and fire pit. Doesn’t it look relaxing? For complete details and price, click over and see the realtor’s full information page HERE.
And if you decide to move in, I’ll come hang out with you in that fabulous kitchen!
Gorgeous home!!! Love all the detail. Have a great weekend.
Thanks Katie. It’s finally cooling off and feeling like (almost) winter, so we’ll finally have a weekend we can wear sweaters! Happy frolicking around to you!
You are right, that is a gorgeous kitchen. Well, it is all great.
I love how the staircase is tucked into the kitchen area instead of smacking you in the face when you walk in the front door. It’s cozier that way for some reason.
That staircase really works in the kitchen, beautiful kitchen! It is cozy, despite the size.
I love her rugs! I want her rugs!
She’s got the eye for all things beautiful . . . rugs included!
Thank you Leslie Anne❤ I might just decide to stay!
Well, now I’m kind of excited to see what you do with the new place!
Actually I’m excited about that too. Chompin at the bits for a brand new project!!
The home is gorgeous. I LOVE the area. xo
It’s such a classic house, with lots of surprise elements to keep it interesting. Perfection!
