Storytelling has always been second nature to Leslie Anne Tarabella. “Both sides of my family were natural storytellers,” she recalls. “We’d sit around swapping the funniest stories—no need for much TV; we were our own entertainment.”

Born in Florala, Alabama, and raised along the Gulf Coast, Leslie Anne has spent the last 25 years enjoying the charm of Fairhope, Alabama. “Around here, 25 years still makes me a newcomer,” she says.

A columnist and the author of four books, her weekly lifestyle column—packed with both humor and heart—has appeared in newspapers throughout Alabama and even reached audiences as far as Michigan and New York. The Alabama Press Association awarded her column a humor award, a testament to her knack for blending wit and insight. Her latest book, We Don’t Push in Fairhope, made its debut as an Amazon bestseller.

Married to Bob for 31 years, Leslie Anne often finds inspiration in their lively dynamic. “Being married to a man from New Jersey, and raised by a mother from New York City, definitely gives me plenty to think about,” she jokes. “I mean, who puts seerup on pancakes?”

Spending time with her two grown sons, caring for her mother, traveling with Bob and working in the yard are things Leslie Anne likes to do when not writing. She especially loves meeting readers at book events and through emails, so drop her a note sometime.
