There’s no better fun than the County Fair, and the Baldwin County Fair will be open spinning, sparkling and shining throughout the weekend.
With the most fabulous exhibits, everything from trains to taxidermy, cattlemen to cucumbers, it’s all there, at the fair.
These young ladies were tending to their livestock. They had already received awards for their goats and chickens, and were eagerly awaiting the judging on a much pampered cow. I was immediately taken with the shirt on the right, because it reminded me of my Granddaddy, who was the County Agent and was initiated into the Florida 4-H Hall of Fame. That’s right. I’m 4-H Royalty! The fairground building in Walton County Florida is even named after him. He would have loved this shirt!
And no matter what kind of five-star restaurant I’ve eaten in around the world, there’s something about food-on-a-stick I just crave. Mmmmmm!
What’s your favorite thing about the County Fair?
My favorite thing is that every one is so happy and there is a lot of excitement. Brings back good memories when our high school would take us on a bus to the State Fair in Birmingham, Al.
French fries with vinegar but have not had them in ages. Just talked about you on OO.
I’ll scoot over to Olive Out and see what you’re saying!
French fries and vinegar? Never heard of it, but it sounds like my kind of snack!
Heading to the North GA State Fair tonight to see Kenny Rogers in concert. The best part is that the ticket was only $3.50!!
“Ruuuubbyyy…don’t take your love to town!”
Funnel cakes and elephant ears!
Yum! I’m more of a corn dog kind of girl!
Hi, Most beautiful One! Oh, this looks so fun and reminds me of when I was a little girl. A week or so after school started, the Fair would come to town! What fun and thank you for bringing back those memories to me. Thanks for popping in to see me and I hope you’re doing well.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia 😉
My favorite was cotton candy!
I have never been to a county fair, but I do love the Gulf Shores Shrimp Festival! But not the alligator on a stick!
