Gallery by the Bay is the new name for an old favorite, the original Christine Linson Gallery. Christine has moved on to retirement but has left her gallery and artwork in good hands with Todd and Anne Seeley.
Revamping the interior to make room for new items as well as to display current art, the gallery has a new lighter, brighter feel. Local artists as well as artisans from around the country are featured in this convenient downtown location.
I love this painting by artist Anita Westerburg. Anita has a unique way of painting with her fingertips after placing the paints directly on the canvas. This results in brighter, more vivid colors with interesting details.
Locals and tourists have always loved to shop in this gallery. There are large pieces to hang in your home or office, and also small items that make wonderful gifts and souvenirs to take home in a suitcase. Really, there are so many different types of art in all price ranges, it makes sense to shop locally and buy something unique! (Did I mention there is jewelry? — oh yes, sparkle!!).
I thought this was so cute. A handmade honey pot, complete with the local honey — sweet!
Trays, ornaments, puzzles, tumblers, and tiles are available with unique Fairhope images by local artists. I have several of Christine’s Christmas ornaments and treasure them. I’ve also purchased one of her Fairhope jigsaw puzzles and had fun with the family putting it together on vacation one year.
Owners Todd and Anne invite you to stop by anytime, but especially on First Friday Artwalks to see their new digs and find artwork that will be special to you!
